Fort McHenry & National Aquarium

Fort McHenry is known for the Battle of Baltimore during the War of 1812, when American troops stopped a British invasion.

The battle inspired Francis Scott Key to pen what would become the national anthem, “The Star Spangled Banner” – originally entitled “Defense of Fort McHenry”. During the Civil War, the fort served as a military prison. Your self-guided tour is a spectacular embodiment of the spirit of America and a must see for history fans. Your group will board the motorcoach for a short ride to the Hard Rock Cafe located at the Baltimore Inner Harbor for an included lunch. After, the group will go to the National Aquarium, which houses 20,000 animals. Students and adults will discover some of the most iconic animal species before departing for home. **Teachers must submit application for waiver fee at Fort McHenry.

Experience an interactive guided tour through America’s Birthplace where members of your group portray the Founding Fathers & Mothers.

Follow in their footsteps and visit the very places where they created a new nation. This is a fully guided tour both on coach and on foot through the heart of Philadelphia’s Historic district. Now, take a stroll over to Strawberry Square for lunch on your own. Following lunch, head over to the Pennsylvania Capitol Building. This beautiful building was constructed in 1906 and designed to resemble our nation’s capital. Learn how our Senators and State Representatives govern our state. End your day on a sweet note with a visit to Hershey’s Chocolate World including a 4-D show.
