Harrisburg & Hershey
Travel to Harrisburg, capital city of Pennsylvania. Visit the only museum in the United States that tells the entire story of the Civil War.
With emphasis on the “human side” of the conflict, the National Civil War Museum portrays this struggle as a time line from the issues straining the nation through the war’s conclusion at Appomattox Court House. Next, visit the State Museum of Pennsylvania where their goal is to provide interpretation to young people, empowering them to explore, discover and experience the treasures of the Commonwealth. Now, take a stroll over to Strawberry Square for lunch on your own. Following lunch, head over to the Pennsylvania Capitol Building. This beautiful building was constructed in 1906 and designed to resemble our nation’s capital. Learn how our Senators and State Representatives govern our state. End your day on a sweet note with a visit to Hershey’s Chocolate World including a 4-D show.
