The Power of a Nation the 9/11 Memorial

The 9/11 Memorial is located on the grounds of the World Trade Center and honors the 2,983 people that were killed in the attacks on September 11, 2001.

The Memorial consists of two reflecting pools set in the footprints of the Twin Towers and a plaza of trees, including the Survivor Tree, which was damaged in the attack but was nursed back to health. After your self-guided tour you will take a short walk to One World Observation. You will ride in the Skypod to the 102nd floor and watch the virtual city skyline transform across centuries of history. Learn about the construction of the 1,776-foot-tall skyscraper, which has sweeping views that stretch up to 50 miles across the city. On the ride up, impressive time-lapse technology, show cases the city’s transformation from the 1500’s to the present in immersive floor-to-ceiling screens. At the top, spectacular 360-degree views of New York City’s waterways, iconic skyline, and renowned landmarks stretch for miles. Enjoy free time on your own at the 911 Memorial as well as a meal that is included.
